Glengarry Maple is a family owned maple farm that takes pride in offering small batch, single forest maple syrup.
Our forest, situated in Eastern Ontario, has fairly rocky but fertile soil. Much like a vineyard, a maple forest relies greatly on terroir, as well as the varietal of maple, to develop a maple syrup that is full-bodied and rich in flavor. Our mission is to produce high-quality maple syrup, while managing the bush in a responsible and sustainable way. Subsequently keeping this beautiful hardwood forest for future generations to use conscientiously and for those that call it home.
We are most proud to say that three generations of our family are now actively involved in the business. Originally started as a father-son business, it has grown into a family operation that even the youngest are involved in (someone has to taste-test!).
The majority of the family live right next door to each other, with a few stragglers based in Ottawa approximately an hour away.
We keep our batches of syrup small, boiling each batch longer than most sugar makers. This develops a richer taste with a silky mouth feel. Each batch is a separate product, resulting in bottles that contain a unique, unblended maple syrup.
