Prep time: 20 minutes, Cook time: 10 minutes, Yield: Makes three-dozen
What you need to start:
- 1/2 cup (one stick) butter
- 1 cup of Glengarry's Maple Sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup of Glengarry's Maple Syrup
- 2 cups of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 3/4 cup of chopped walnuts
How-to:
- Beat butter and maple sugar together in a bowl until light and fluffy
- Add the vanilla extract and egg into the bowl and mix thoroughly
- Then, add the maple syrup into the same bowl and stir
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add the two mixtures together and stir until well incorporated
- Pour in the walnuts
- Cover mixture with plastic wrap and place in the fridge to chill for thirty minutes
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- Separate the cookie dough into approximately 1 inch balls and place onto cookie sheets
- Bake for approximately 10 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are lightly browned
